Power lines and water hydrant hit in traffic collision

story times; font-size: 16px;”>June 28th, Saturday after 10:30am fire department units responded to a reported traffic collision including a sheared fire hydrant and power lines down into the flowing water. When units arrived it was determined that the adult male occupant of the vehicle was not injured. Fire personnel established an exclusion zone around the downed power lines and began attempting to mitigate the water release while maintaining firefighter and public safety. Edison arrived on scene and disconnected the downed power lines. Ventura Water Department was then able to shut down the damaged hydrant.
