Pre-Christmas kayaking
By George Miller
Members of the California Kayak Friends (http://ckf.org) often meet at Kiddie Beach (On Victoria Ave. near Coast Guard Station) in Oxnard on Sundays at 9 AM to paddle local waters. They were seen frolicking in “The Pond” just north of the Channel Islands Harbor entrance last Sunday. These photos were taken by long time member Peter O’Sullivan, a retired Oxnard FD Captain who spends a lot of time in his various kayaks. He is often seen out there mentoring/training other members.
There are also activities for less advanced paddlers.
