Pro and Con on Ventura’s Measure O
As part of the effort to maintain water supplies and water affordability for current residents of the city of Ventura, Save Our Water Ventura (SOWV) monitors local issues.
Before voting on Ventura City Measure O, please study the “pro and con”
arguments. Measure O is a new sales tax. In making your decision to vote yes or no, please understand that Measure O will NOT enhance Ventura’s potable water supply. Although the word “water” is mentioned several times in the arguments, the funds are not going to be used — in any material way — for new water supplies.
Paying for new water supplies is a separate issue. These costs are paid for by additional charges to your water bill. In the future, you won’t get to vote — for or against — the added water charges.
