Public invited to tour Oxnard’s Public Works Facilities through December 2016

pilule arial, seek sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>Community members are invited to attend one-hour tours of the City of Oxnard’s environmental resources, water and wastewater facilities through December 2016. The tour schedule for each facility is listed below.

The tours will provide participants with a behind-the-scenes look at the day-to-day operations and maintenance performed by Public Works crews to provide critical services to the community.

“We want to empower residents by giving them opportunities to gain a better understanding of how we operate these community-owned facilities on their behalf,” said Public Works Director Dan Rydberg.  “The tours will allow the public to see first-hand some of the challenges we face as we work to provide safe, quality service for the community.”

Attendees are required to wear closed-toe shoes for the hour-long tours. Comfortable shoes are recommended. Hard hats will be provided and must be worn for the duration of the tours.
