Oxnard, CA – The Channel Islands Maritime Museum was slated to re-open its doors this Saturday, July 4th. At this time and with an abundance of caution the decision has been made to postpone re-opening to a later date, which has yet to be determined. An opening will be determined once the outbreak of Covid-19 has been better contained and the environment is safer for volunteers, guests, and staff. The museum staff is closely monitoring recent data showing COVID-19 activity increasing in the community, as it is statewide and throughout the country.
The next virtual Speaker Series event will be July 15th at 7:00 PM with historian Mark Frees on “Rum Runners: How Prohibition Changed Ventura County” please visit cimmvc.org to access the link.
