Recall Gascon Momentum Builds: Moses Castillo Joins Recall Gascon Now

Los Angeles, CA – Today at the Hall of Justice on Temple Street in Los Angeles Sheriff Alex Villanueva signed the petition to recall District Attorney George Gascon. The event was attended by numerous recall supporters including Stop the Madness: Support Recalling District Attorney Gascon Now co-chairs Moses Castillo and Marc Ang who commended the Sheriff on the boldness of his action.

Moses Castillo is a retired LAPD Detective, who now work as a Senior Detective helping crime victims at the Dordulian Law Group. Moses has been outspoken in his response to the dangerous directives issued by DA Gascon since his first day in office. Moses will be a keynote speaker at a recall event in Pasadena on Saturday.

Moses recently joined the campaign Recall Gascon Now as a co-chair and part of the broad and diverse coalition that is building at the grassroots level, which is necessary for the recall effort to successfully qualify for the ballot. Marc Ang is the president of Asian Industry Business 2 Business and has been raising awareness on key political issues, particularly within the Asian community.

Today’s signing event is on the heels of the 15th city, Palos Verdes Estates, unanimously voting last night “No-Confidence” in Gascon and his polices. Palos Verdes Estates joins Santa Clarita, Beverly Hills, Pico Rivera, Lancaster, La Mirada, Whittier, Covina, Rosemead, Azusa, Santa Fe Springs, Diamond Bar, Arcadia, Manhattan Beach, and Redondo Beach who had already also voted “No-Confidence.”

Recall supporters have until October 27th to collect just under 580,000 qualified signatures.
