News release
This past Saturday, August 20, 2022, Revive Community Church hosted its 8th Annual Community Resources Fair that took place in El Rio.
With over 45 vendors and participants confirmed, we were able to provide services and resources ranging from nutrition, education, financial, mental health, employment opportunities, social assistance, healthcare, among many others.
Serving this underprivileged and underserved community has always been on the forefront of Revive Community Church, and serve they did. With nearly 154 families attending the event this past Saturday, and an average of 4 per family, we saw nearly 620 individuals, both adults and children attend this year’s fair.
We registered 127 families, gave out 350 bags of groceries, 435 backpacks, 340 bags of clothes, and provided countless valuable information and materials to all in attendance. Vendors had the opportunity to connect with families, learn on the disadvantages and needs, as well as understand the different challenges and issues within this community.
Here are what some participants had to say about the event:
And of course this event could not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors, who truly stood by our side every step of the way in order to make this event happen:
