RECAP: Immigration Forum / RESUMEN: Foro de Inmigracion

On Tuesday January 29, 2019, Oxnard Revival Center (ORC) hosted its Second Annual Immigration Forum in the City of Oxnard. Many attended this special and important event as it provided valuable and beneficial information on the sensitive matter of immigration. The discussion panel consisted of Oxnard Police Chief Scott Whitney, Immigration Attorney Ruben Rivera, Mexican Consul Jonathan Alvarez, and Immigration Expert and Attorney at law Aaron Chenault.

Opening remarks and welcome was given by Commissioner Adam Lopez (Community Relations Commission) and simultaneous Spanish translation for the evening was provided by ORC member and Chaplain, Daniel Aguiar.

Taking into consideration the urgency and sensitive matter behind immigration law and recent occurrences throughout our Nation, it was only fitting and timely to provide this evening of resources, information, guidance, and legal consultation to those in attendance.

The Oxnard Revival Center Church will continue to partner up with entities and organizations of influence throughout Ventura County to host many more of these events throughout the year.

ORC would like to especially thank the sponsors and partners who made the event possible: County Schools Federal Credit Union, Radio Oasis 107.9, Oxnard Police Department, Consulado de Mexico, Kostiv Law, Lazer Broadcasting, Radio Nueva Vida, Vida Newspaper, and to all those individuals that helped spread the word via social media and other means.
