Recipe of the Week–Hummos (Hummus Garbanzo Bean Dip)
Hummos (Hummus Garbanzo Bean Dip)
Ingredients:
1 Cup Fresh Garbanzo Bean
1-2 Tablespoons Tahini
1/4 -1/2 Cup Lemon. (Or more if you lemon)
2-3 Cloves of Crushed Garlic
Salt/ cumin and Olive Oil to Taste
Tapatio sauce if you like it hot (Just few drops)
Directions:
Boil the beans until they become soft after having them soaked overnight with 1 tea spoon of Baking Soda. (Clean, then boil with fresh water)
In a blender crush the garbanzo beans first by adding some of the boiled juice, below the level of the garbanzos, until they become a paste.
Add lemon juice, garlic, salt & Tapatio sauce or any other hot sauce.
1-2 Tablespoons Tahini at last.
Olive oil on top if you like!
