On January 22nd at the Camarillo Library, our CEO Linda Braunschweiger and Board Chair Jennie Buckingham addressed a packed house of over 70 community leaders, affordable housing supporters, advocates, workforce housing developers, and county residents during the organization’s Annual Meeting.
Linda and Jennie shared and celebrated Housing Trust Fund Ventura County’s (HTFVC) accomplishments, noting over $9 million in approved loans that have helped to create 365 affordable housing units since the organization’s founding in 2012, and observing the honor of being named the 2019 Nonprofit of the Year by the Ventura Chamber of Commerce. They also provided an important update about California Proposition 1’s fund matching program, which has the ability to bring $25 million dollars to Ventura County by 2024 specifically for affordable workforce housing, and how HTFVC has raised over $3.3 million towards that goal.
