    Results from the Ventura Police Department – DUI Checkpoint on Friday, March 26, 2021

    This checkpoint was established in the 4200 block of E. Main St. beginning at 2130 hours and concluded at 0045 hours. 584 cars passed the checkpoint, while 376 drivers were contacted and screened through the checkpoint. The following is a list of the enforcement activities that took place at, or as a result of the checkpoint:

    16 SFST’s were conducted

    1 DUI arrest for 23152(a)(b) VC / Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol over .08, 2800(a) VC / Failing to Obey Traffic Officer, and 23223(a) VC / Open Alcoholic Container Inside a Vehicle

    8 Citations issued for 12500(a) VC / Unlicensed Driver

    3 Citations issued for 14601.1(a) VC / Suspended Driver’s License 2 Vehicles towed from the checkpoint

    The Ventura Police Department would like to remind the public of the dangers of DUI driving and encourage everyone to drink responsibly or utilize ride sharing and other alternative methods of transportation if you plan on drinking.
