Robbery at Rite Aid in Ventura

sickness times; font-size: 16px;”>Shortly after 9:30pm last night, symptoms July 15th, view in Ventura, Agustin Vega Tafoya, a 28 year old Ventura resident, presented a note to an employee at Rite Aid working the cash register demanding money.  Tafoya used a Rite Aid plastic bag to collect the money, and then left the store in an unknown direction.  The clerk informed the manager who called 911 to report the crime.

Officers in the area responded within seconds canvassing the surrounding area locating a possible suspect.  Evidence at the scene including video surveillance was collected and both witnesses to the crime positively identified Tafoya as committing the robbery.

Tafoya was taken into custody without incident and the stolen money was recovered.  Tafoya was booked into Ventura County Jail for 211 PC- Robbery.  No one was injured during this incident.
