Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release
The Ventura Police Command Center received a call from Community Memorial Hospital Emergency Room reference a battery victim that just came into the hospital. When the officers arrived and spoke to the victim they learned the victim and three of his friends were on the beach at the end of New Bedford Ct. about midnight the night before. While sitting on the beach they were approached by three male subjects who asked where they were from. The victims told the group that they are exchange students from Germany going to a local college. The three suspects then attacked the victims and took the victims cell phone, blue tooth speaker and blanket.
The victim and his friends in fear for their safety ran away to their house. In the morning the victim was experiencing pain from an injury he obtained during the attack and went to the hospital to seek medical treatment. The victim had a moderate injury from the attack and was released after his treatment. Because of the darkness on the beach, the victim was unable to give a description of the suspects.
