    Doyle Alan Johnson (DOB 7/11/1965), of Ventura, has been charged with murder for the killing of Audrey Evans, of Ventura, which occurred on August 29, 2019.  The complaint charges one count of murder and a special allegation that a knife was personally used during the commission of the crime.

    Johnson appeared in court on September 3, 2019. The arraignment was continued until September 26, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. in courtroom 12 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Johnson is currently in custody with bail set at $1,090,000.
