Rose McGowan Advocates for “Systemic Change” in California Recall Details Attempt by Gavin Newsom’s Wife to Silence Her

News Release

Los Angeles, CA – September 12, 2021 – Rose McGowan, multimedia artist, writer, thought leader, and sexual assault survivor, held a press conference today with candidate for governor Larry Elder to advocate for a better future for California and the recall of Governor Gavin Newsom.

“Right now, y’all are in a pickle,” McGowan said of the state of California. “Systemic change is what’s needed.

“I believe in California,” McGowan continued. “You can do better.”

McGowan discussed the following during the press conference:

  • Jennifer Siebel Newsom, Gavin Newsom’s wife, tried to silence her in order to suppress the bombshell Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse scandal;
  • Jennifer Siebel Newsom asked on behalf of a David Boies, Harvey Weinstein’s lawyer, what would make McGowan happy; and
  • Jennifer Siebel Newsom infiltrated a support group for sexual assault victims of Harvey Weinstein.

“I admire Rose McGowan. She is a brave, strong woman who is challenging the status quo and the bankrupt ideology of the ruling political classes,” said Elder. “Not only has she fought for sexual assault victims, she is standing up for Californians in general. She is absolutely right: Our state can no longer continue with more of the same. Radical change is needed right now from the disastrous governance of Gavin Newsom. Be brave. Recall Newsom on September 14.”

“I vote for brave,” McGowan added. “I vote for Larry Elder.”
