NOTICE REGARDING BOARDS, COMMITTEES AND COMMISSION APPOINTMENTS SCHEDULED VACANCY NOTICE
The City of Santa Paula is asking all interested individuals to apply for positions on several boards, commissions, and committees. Applicants must be residents of the City of Santa Paula. Applications are at the City Clerk’s Office located in City Hall at 970 Ventura Street. Application deadline is until filled unless otherwise noted.
Youth Advisory Committee: There are currently two vacancies for youth commissioners on the Youth Advisory Committee. Youth Advisory Committee members will be appointed to serve a term of one or two years. The Committee meets every 2nd Thursday of the month at 5:30 in the Council Chambers at City Hall. Applicant qualifications include any high school or college student of a private or public school that is in a school grade level no earlier than 9th and not older than 21 years of age; resides within the Santa Paula City limits; resides within the Santa Paula Unified School District boundaries; and maintains a 3.0 grade point average during the past and current school semester. Recruitment shall remain open until the vacancy is filled.
Recreation Commission:
There is currently one unscheduled vacancy on the Recreation Commission for a term ending 4/2021. The Recreation Commission meets the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the Santa Paula Community Center. Recruitment shall remain open until the vacancy is filled.
Measure T Oversight Committee: There is currently one unscheduled vacancy on the Measure T Oversight Committee for a term of two years. The Committee meets on call to consider current Measure T Funds. Applicant must be a senior citizen member representing the senior community. The Measure T Oversight Committee will meet at least twice annually to review and report to the public and the City Council on the revenue and expenditures generated by Measure T. Members must submit an annual statement of financial disclosure in compliance with the Political Reform Act. Recruitment shall remain open until vacancies are filled.
Mobile Home Rent Review Commission: There are currently three vacancies for a regular member for a term of 2 years. The Commission meets on call to consider mobile home rent increases. Applicants must be and remain a resident of Santa Paula, and may not be a tenant of a mobile home park, nor owner of rental property. Commissioners are subject to personal disclosure under the rulings of the Fair Political Practices Commission. Commission members will receive a stipend of $50 for each meeting attended. Recruitment shall remain open until vacancies are filled.
