Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release
On 11/02/2020 at approximately 10:28 PM, SPPD officers responded to the Santa Paula Emergency Room for a report of a stabbing victim. Officers arrived and contacted the victim who had sustained multiple stab wounds to his lower body. The victim told officers he had been involved in an altercation with the suspect, who he identified as Ashley Arana of Santa Paula. The victim and Arana are in a dating relationship. During the altercation Arana was allegedly armed with a knife and stabbed him multiple times.
On 11/09/2020 SPPD Detectives executed a search warrant on Arana’s residence. Arana was located at the residence and was taken into custody without incident. Arana was transported to the SPPD and later transported to the Ventura County Main Jail on the charges of 245(a)(1) PC; Assault with a Deadly Weapon and 273.5(a) PC; Domestic Battery.
