Santa Paula Firefighters in Wisconsin for purchase of new Fire Engine

They’re checking out the design of the new fire engine.  In a city that is proposing a new sales tax to retain firefighters once the Safety Grant expires this fall, along with hiring more police, this a huge expense. However, with the current equipment aging, Fire Chief Richard Araiza hopes to improve his department’s capabilities.

Santa Paula Fire Department personnel, Engineer Austin Macias, Captain Jerry Byrum, and Fire Mechanic Jose Arreola are returning from the pre-construction trip to the Pierce Manufacturing plant in Appleton Wisconsin where they spent the last three days designing and specifying Santa Paula’s new fire engine.
