Santa Paula Gang Members Arrested

Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release

During the month of July 2019, the Santa Paula Police Departments Detective Bureau conducted an investigation regarding criminal threats by alleged Santa Paula gang members.

Through the investigation, the victim(s) were able to identify the suspects. The suspects identified are documented Santa Paula gang members Juan Mex Velasquez, Mark Lugo and Efrain Hernandez. As a result of the investigation, search warrants were obtained.

On 08-09-2019 SWAT teams from the Santa Paula Police Department and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department served two search warrants simultaneously. As a result, all three suspects were taken into custody for making criminal threats and Velasquez was additionally charged with exhibiting a firearm.

The three subjects have had multiple contacts and previously been arrested by the Santa Paula.
