Raymond Bolanos (DOB 7/7/95), of Oxnard has been charged with murder, a special allegation that he personally used a gun and a gang allegation, for the shooting death of Alejandro Hernandez of Ventura on January 19, 2020. Julian Nunez (DOB 11/10/93), of Ventura was also charged for his role in this incident with assault with a deadly weapon, a special allegation that he personally used a gun and a gang allegation.
Mr. Hernandez was fatally shot at a parking structure in the promenade area of Ventura in the early morning hours of January 19, 2020.
Both Bolanos and Nunez appeared in court on January 22, 2020. Their arraignments were continued to February 20, 2020, at 1:30 p.m. in courtroom 13 of the Ventura County Superior Court. Bolanos and Nunez are currently in custody at the Ventura County jail. Bolanos has bail set at $1.4 million and Nunez has bail set at $290,000.
