Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release
On 8/27/2020, at approximately 11:57 PM, Patrol Officers and members of the Santa Paula Police Departments Special Enforcement Unit, responded to a location in the 400 block of N. 7th Street in the city of Santa Paula for a check the well-being call.
While on scene two male juveniles were contacted and detained. During the subsequent investigation Officers located a loaded handgun which was believed to be illegally possessed by the juveniles. Additionally, both juveniles were confirmed to be documented Santa Paula gang members, one of which is on active Ventura County Probation and is prohibited from possessing weapons.
The male juveniles were arrested for the weapons violations and later booked into Ventura County Juvenile Hall.
