Santa Paula: Man arrested for assault with a deadly weapon at Circle K

seek times; font-size: 16px;” data-ft=”{"tn":"K"}”>On 5-20-14 at approximately 1:30am, discount officers responded to 765 W. Harvard Blvd, Circle K Store, regarding a call of a subject “banging” on the windows. It was determined by dispatch from a store employee who called in that the subject banging on the window had demanded money and attempted to strike the employee with an object. The employee was able to lock themselves inside of the business and telephone Police. Officers arrived and began checking the area. The suspect, Ernesto Reyes Garcia, 24 years old of Santa Paula, was located nearby matching the description provided by the store employee. Garcia was positively identified as the suspect and was placed under arrest for 664/211 PC, attempted robbery and 245(A)(1) PC, assault with a deadly weapon. Garcia was later booked into the Ventura County Jail.

The store employee was not injured during the incident.
