    Santa Paula | Metal Knuckles and meth – Suspect arrested

    On Saturday December 19, 2020 at approximately 7:09 PM officers conducted a traffic stop on a motorcycle that was not displaying a license plate.  Officers made contact with the sole occupant/driver Joseph Wheatley, age 56 years of Santa Paula.  During the course of the investigation Wheatley was found in felony possession of metal knuckles.  A further search of the motorcycle revealed 145.2 grams of methamphetamine, 2 methamphetamine pipes, a large amount of cash, and a scale with white residue. 

    Wheatley was transported to Santa Paula Police Department for processing and later to Ventura County Main Jail for the charges of possession of a controlled substance for sales, possession of a controlled substance for transportation, and possession of metal knuckles.
