Santa Paula PD officers save man from hanging himself

cialis arial, no rx sans-serif;”>On 9/22/15, ampoule at approximately 4:05pm Santa Paula PD officers received a call of a suicidal subject in the 300 block of Tirre Ct.  The reporting party stated the subject was standing outside in the front of the residence threatening to kill himself. It was further reported the subject was holding a knife.

When officers arrived the subject was not located in front of the residence. The reporting party stated he had gone inside and was unsure what he had done with the knife. Officers went to the front door.  They made contact with the subject who was inside the residence at the top of the stairs inside the residence. Officers attempted to talk the subject into coming down and speaking with them.

The subject jumped from the top of the stairs.  He had a belt strapped around his neck. Officers immediately took action.  One ran up the stairs to cut the belt while two other officers grabbed the subject and lifted him up. Officers were able to subdue the subject and keep him from harming himself further.

The subject was transported to the Santa Paula Hospital as a precautionary matter and for superficial wounds the subject had done to himself prior to their arrival. The subject will be taken to Ventura County Mental Health for evaluation after being released from the hospital.
