Santa Paula PD search for Suspect in Robbery of Bank of America

Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release

On 2-7-18 at approximately 3:53 PM, the Santa Paula Police Department received a call regarding a Bank Robbery at Bank of America, located at 715 E. Main St. in Santa Paula.

A male subject wearing dark clothing entered the bank demanding money and left with an undisclosed amount of currency. Although no one was injured, it is unknown if weapons were present during the robbery. The investigation led to the area just north of the bank to the 800 block of E. Santa Paula Street.

A perimeter was established with air support from a County Sheriff helicopter. Tracking canine led officers to the area of a residence on Santa Paula St. The residence was searched, however the money was not located. Detectives have questioned numerous people of interest, although no arrests have been made at this time.

Additional agencies responded to assist including the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department and the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigations. The FBI responded, which is common practice, however the investigation is being handled by the Santa Paula Police Department.
