Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release
On Saturday, July 4, 2020 at approximately 2:42 AM officers conducted a traffic stop in the 300 block of S. Palm Ave. Officers made contact with 3 occupants inside of the vehicle and discovered 8 open beer containers inside of the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted which revealed multiple items including approximately 2000+ prescription pills of 5 different narcotics with no prescription attached, over $7,000 cash, and illegal fireworks including 6 rockets and one mortar. Two of the occupants of the vehicle were given citations for multiple vehicle code violations. Raquel Hernandez, age 39 of Piru was arrested for 11351 HS – Possession of a controlled substance for sales and 11352 HS – Transportation of a controlled substance for sales.
Hernandez was transported to Ventura County Main Jail.
