Santa Paula Police Department – Incident Press Release
On Friday, 11-08-2019 at approximately 5:13 PM, Santa Paula Police officers responded to the Santa Paula Hospital Emergency Room regarding a 26 year old stabbing victim. The male victim was contacted and it was discovered that the incident occurred in front of a liquor store located at the 100 block of Dean Drive. Surveillance footage captured the incident and the suspect is seen slashing the victims face with a knife. Shortly after the incident, the suspect fled the area. Through the investigation, the suspect was identified as 33 year old Henry Ramirez, a documented gang member out of Santa Paula.
Detectives from the Special Enforcement Unit located Ramirez’ residence and on 11- 9-19, members of the Detective Bureau and the Special Enforcement Unit arrested Ramirez for the crime of 245(A)(1) PC, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and 203 PC, Mayhem.
Ramirez was eventually transported to the Ventura County Jail awaiting arraignment.
