Saticoy: Deputies arrest suspected gang members for stolen vehicle and narcotics
On August 29th at, at about 12pm, Headquarters Patrol units located a stolen black Chevy Impala in the 11200 block of Nardo Street which is located in the unincorporated area of Ventura known as Saticoy. The Sheriff’s Gang Unit responded to the area and observed Jose Puga (24 years old), Victor Flores (24 years old), and Jesus Alvarez (20 years old), all from Ventura, associating near the vehicle. All three suspects are documented members of the same criminal street gang.
A records check showed Jose Puga was on active parole for robbery and had active felony warrants for his arrest.
Puga and Flores left in the stolen vehicle towards Santa Paula. They were stopped a short time later in Santa Paula by the Sheriff’s Gang Unit and Headquarters Patrol units. Puga and Flores were taken into custody for vehicle theft. A search ensued and controlled substances were located inside the vehicle. In addition to vehicle theft, both Puga and Flores were arrested for a transportation of a controlled substance and gang allegations.
After the arrests, the Sheriff’s Gang Unit conducted a follow-up investigation in the 11200 block of Nardo Street and contacted the third suspect, Jesus Alvarez. Alvarez was arrested for conspiracy to commit a crime with gang allegations.
All three suspects were booked at the Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
