Susan Shelley, in addition to being a VP of the HJTA, is a columnist and a member of the editorial board of the Southern California News Group, eleven daily newspapers including the Orange County Register and the Los Angeles Daily News. Prior to becoming a twice-weekly opinion columnist, she was a Republican candidate for the California Assembly in the west San Fernando Valley, making an unexpectedly strong showing in a heavily Democrat district.

Susan began her career in the television industry as an Associate Producer of the game show, “Jeopardy!” before going on to be a full-time writer. Her most recent book, available on Amazon, is a collection of columns on the 2016 election entitled, “How Trump Won.”
