Second Annual “Champagne on Main” a Fun Time for All!
By Raven West
Champagne on Main, “A Spring Wine Walk & Street Fair” returned to Ventura for its second successful year.

Under a gorgeous summer-like sky, hundreds of guests strolled along Main Street stopping to shop at local merchant’s tents featuring homemade arts and crafts and select culinary delights.

Corks started popping in the V.I.P. area promptly at 3:00. Chocolate covered strawberries, gourmet cheese and desserts were prepared by Coastal Specialty Foods. Discovery Ventura served a delightful parfait of white chocolate ganache, hazelnut, graham cracker and shaved dark chocolate topped with fresh strawberries.

A host of live entertainment accompanied everyone as they made their way to the 40 merchant venues who were pouring a variety of wine, beer and champagne along the route.

Proceeds from the event went to benefit the Downtown Ventura Organization to foster a vibrant commercial and cultural district.
