Seizure of 40 pounds of Meth by Sheriff in Oxnard

Ventura County Sheriff – Incident Press Release

On April 22, 2017, at about 6:30 p.m. a Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Deputy stopped the driver of a BMW in the area of Rose Ave and Ives Ave, in the city of Oxnard.

The Deputy stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation. The Deputy was assisted by an Oxnard Police Department Officer. The Deputy contacted the driver of the vehicle, 53 year old Poway resident Daniel Sanchez.  Sanchez had an expired license. A search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 40 pounds of methamphetamine and over $25,000 in cash.

Sanchez was booked into the Ventura County Jail for possession for sale of methamphetamine.

It would be interesting to know where it all came from. With the markings on the packages, it seems sure that it was designated for particular buyers for resale.

Here I go guessing again, but could this be a gift from South of Our Border?
