Alexander Galvan (DOB 10/27/91), of Camarillo, was sentenced by Judge Bruce Young yesterday to 32 months in state prison. In June 2019, Galvan pled guilty to possessing child pornography while being a registered sex offender. He also admitted he violated probation in his 2016 child pornography possession case.
In April 2019, a multi-agency task force that included the Ventura County Probation Agency and the Santa Paula Police Department conducted a probation search of Galvan’s home in Camarillo. During the search, law enforcement officers located a phone and memory card containing child pornography belonging to Galvan. They also found Galvan was accessing the Internet and using encryption tools in violation of his probation. The case was prosecuted by the District Attorney’s Office Fraud and Technology Crimes Unit with investigative assistance from the Southern California High Tech Task Force and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
