Sham partisan House impeachment not sent to Senate: No evidence

    By Michael Hernandez

The sham partisan House impeachment is not being sent to the U.S. Senate by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi because there is no evidence for article 1 (abuse of power) or article 2 (obstruction of Congress) by President Donald J. Trump.

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is correct in labeling this impeachment inquiry as the “most rushed (previous impeachments have taken up to two years; not three months), least thorough and most unfair” investigation in history that is setting a “toxic new precedent that will echo well into the future” and that is creating the “moment the framers feared.”  It is the Senate’s role to “safeguard institutions from the momentary hysteria.  The House’s conduct risks deeply damaging the institutions of American government.

“Speaker Pelosi suggested that House Democrats may be too afraid to even transmit their shoddy work product to the Senate.  Mr. President, looks like the prosecutors are getting cold feet in front of the entire country and second-guessing whether they even want to go to trial.  They said that impeachment was so urgent that it couldn’t even wait for due process—but now they’re content to sit on their hands.  This is really comical,” said McConnell.

The “historically low bar” of the accusations against the president would “invite the impeachment of every future president.  If the Senate blesses this, if the nation accepts this, presidential impeachments might cease to be a once-in-a-generation event and become a constant part of the political background noise (with an) endless parade of impeachment trials.

“One party still cannot accept the American people’s choice in 2016.  The Senate’s duty is clear.  When the time comes, we must fulfill it.”

Interesting enough, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, states that he is not being treated fairly as minority leader in the Senate because he has requested four witnesses for the Senate impeachment trial and no one is listening to him.   Isn’t this exactly what the House Intelligence Committee did to minority requests for witnesses?  In fact, hearings in the House did not permit minority cross-examining or any type of due process or fair proceedings for the President.

Does this look like a hack job when as soon as the President assumed office, the Democrats moved toward impeachment proceedings?  In fact, the President has been called the greatest threat to the nation’s national security.  Really?

Let’s look at the impeachment articles:

1:   Abuse of Power:   Where is the evidence?  The arguments the Democrats make are of style and policy.  Do we now begin impeachment proceedings when we disagree with a duly elected president (who received 63 million votes which the Democrats wish to undo since they cannot win at the ballot box)?  The only abuse of power is by a partisan House who has been on a witch-hunt looking for a reason for impeachment and relying on “hearsay” accounts or “false narratives” created by House Intelligence Chair Adam Schiff or House Judicial Chair Jerrold Nadler.  Ironically, after 40 million dollars and several years of the Bob Mueller investigation (May 2017 to March 2019) on whether there was Russian collusion—no evidence is presented of any abuse of power.  The abuse of power the House Democrats give in this article is based on the released transcript of the phone conversation between President J. Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.   Ironically, it is the Trump administration that has provided weapons to Ukraine unlike the Obama administration.

2:  Obstruction of Congress:  The U.S. Constitution delineates three branches of government.   The Constitution also establishes that the judicial branch will resolve conflict between the two other branches.   Why did the House Democrats not wait for resolution of their alleged offenses by the judicial branch before beginning impeachment proceedings?  Was it because they knew they would lose the court arguments.   Three court trials regarding conflicts between the legislative branch and the executive branch will be decided by the Supreme Court in March so where is the obstruction of Congress?   There is no obstruction to Congress unless the President ignores a Supreme Court ruling on the side of Congress such as in responding to a subpoena of witnesses before the House.

It is obvious that the Trump hysteria or hatred—colors all that the House Democrats do. Instead, or focusing on political issues these past few years—the House has focused almost solely on one issue—the removal of a duly elected president from office.  In previous impeachments, current Democrats such as Senator Chuck Schumer insisted that no impeachment should go forward on a partisan vote.

This impeachment inquiry is not strong enough to send out of the House to the Senate.  Democrats are too lazy to do what is required to remove a president from power.

The outcome of this investigation will result in the re-election of Donald J. Trump and the House will turn red once again.   The voters do not want a socialistic America. House Democrats led by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC) have pushed their party to far left.   Watch out 31 Democrats who reside in districts that went to Trump in the last election.  More than New Jersey Congressman Jeff Van Drew will be leaving the Democrat Party.   The disdain that Democrats have to Trump supporters will backfire!
