Sheriff asks for public’s help identifying bike thief

On 04/12/2016, between the hours of 6:00 am-7:00 am, an unknown suspect stole a bicycle.  The bicycle was locked to a secure object at the rear of a restaurant located in the 900 block of East Ojai Avenue.  This establishment is equipped with a video surveillance system which captured the suspect stealing the bicycle.  The video surveillance footage shows the suspect approaching the locked bicycle and cutting the lock.  The suspect then is seen riding away on the victim’s bicycle.
