Shooting in Ventura

Ventura Police Department – Incident Press Release

On 09/27/19 at 11 PM the Ventura Police Department Command Center received several 911 calls of gunshots heard in the area of Cameron Street and Cameron Court.  Officers responded to the area and located an adult male victim with a single, non-life threatening bullet wound to an upper extremity. The victim was transported a local hospital.

During the course of the investigation, officers learned the victim had attended a party in the area where a verbal altercation had taken place.   As the party goers were dispersing, a dark colored sedan drove past the attendees and fired several rounds in the direction of the crowd.  The victim was struck as he attempted to flee to a nearby vehicle. 

There is no suspect information at this time.  Anyone with information about this crime is asked to contact the Ventura Police Department at 339-4416.  An anonymous tip can be made by calling Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-TIPS
