SUBJECT: Shooting Incident

On December 24, 2021, at approximately 2:57 P.M., officers from the Oxnard Police Department were dispatched to a shooting victim in the parking structure of Target, located at 2850 North Oxnard Boulevard. When officers arrived, they located the victim, a 31-year-old male Oxnard resident, On Danvers River Street, north of the parking structure. The victim was suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper body. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in stable condition. Â
Investigators from the Special Operations Division responded to assist with the investigation. Preliminary information indicates the victim was riding in a vehicle that was driving through the parking structure. At one point, they encountered the suspects, who were parked in the parking structure, and a confrontation began. At one point, one of the involved suspects produced a firearm and began firing at the victim, striking him. The victim vehicle fled the parking structure and stopped on Danvers River Street to wait for medical attention. No further information is available at this time.
