    Shooting Victim Dies in Oxnard

    Oxnard Police Department – Incident Press Release

    On September 27, 2020, at 10:37 A.M., Oxnard Police Officers responded to a call of shots being fired in the area of the 3500 block of Harbor Boulevard. It was reported that several gunshots were heard in the area. When officers arrived, they located a male victim, Hispanic Male, 48 years of age, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, in the parking lot area adjacent to the harbor.

    Officers immediately attempted first-aid, lifesaving measures. Emergency medical personnel arrived and took over the lifesaving efforts. Unfortunately, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene. The victim’s name is being withheld pending notification to the family.

    This is the 6th homicide this year in the City of Oxnard. Investigators are seeking the public’s assistance with any information regarding this incident.

    Investigators are encouraging anyone who may have heard or seen anything to contact Detective Ken Tougas (805) 200-5669.   The City of Oxnard offers a reward of $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of any individuals responsible for committing homicides within the City.
