    Simi Valley | 2 City employees assaulted in Berylwood Park

    Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release

    On February 18, 2021, at approximately 7:45 PM two Rancho Simi Parks and Recreation District employees arrived to Berylwood Park located at 1955 Bridget Ave. As the employees arrived to provide routine services to the facility, the entrance was blocked by a group of 10 to 12 juveniles, ranging in ages from 13 to 16 years old. When the employees asked the group to move, a confrontation ensued and led to the group of juveniles assaulting the two park employees. The suspects subsequently fled the area in an unknown direction. One of the suspects, was described as a Hispanic male juvenile, approximately 15 years of age wearing a hooded sweatshirt. There were no further description or information of the other suspects.

    One of the victims sustained serious bodily injury and was admitted to a local hospital. The other victim sustained minor injuries from the incident.
