Simi Valley | Apollo High School and Monte Vista School

The following information is being disseminated on behalf of the Simi Valley Unified School District:

Beginning around 5:30 p.m. this afternoon, Apollo High School and Monte Vista School, two of our five high schools in the Simi Valley Unified School District, will hold a joint Graduation Parade.
The vehicle parade will begin at 5 p.m. at Monte Vista School (1220 4th Street) and will work its way throughout Simi Valley.

The parade procession will leave Monte Vista School travelling north and will proceed along the following routes:
• East on Royal Avenue (from 4th Street)
• North on Erringer Road
• West and then looping east through the Simi Valley Town Center
• East on Alamo Street
• South on Stearns Street
• West on Cochran Street
• South on Sequoia Avenue
• West on Los Angeles Avenue (where the Apollo High School students will break off at their campus and the remaining Monte Vista students will proceed back to Monte Vista School)

We hope the Simi Valley community will come and cheer for these graduating high school seniors somewhere along the parade route. This is a celebration for their achievements during a very challenging last year of school. Please be aware that the flow of traffic will likely be impeded during the parade. The Simi Valley Police Department will be on-hand to help direct traffic and ensure the public’s safety. We ask for your patience and understanding while we take the time to honor our city’s young people as they say goodbye to their schools and face their futures with our support.

Information about Friday’s graduation parades for Royal, Santa Susana and Simi Valley high schools will be released on Friday morning. Thank you.
