Simi Valley: Man attempts break-in at home attacks victim with machete

prescription times;”>On 2/1/15, tadalafil at 2:26 a.m., pharmacy Simi Valley Police Officers responded to the 1400 block of Patricia Avenue in response to a report of a man with a machete attempting to force entry into a home where a family had been sleeping. The suspect had broken out windows and was actively attempting to get into the house. By the time the officers arrived, the suspect was no longer attempting to get into the residence and a search of the area was conducted. After evacuating the residents, officers on scene learned that the suspect had assaulted another man with the machete who lived on the property before attempting to break into the home. The victim was suffering from a large hematoma on his head due to being struck with the machete.

The property is large with numerous trailers, vehicles, structures and large trees and other vegetation that made a search of the property difficult. An LAPD helicopter was requested and responded to assist Simi Valley Police Officers search the yard. Officers then conducted a systematic search of the property with the assistance of K-9 Officers. After an extensive search, a police K-9 alerted to the presence of the suspect in a detached garage on the property. Officers called out to the suspect and attempted to get him to exit the garage. However, the suspect refused and continued to conceal himself inside. Shortly thereafter, officers on scene forced entry into the garage and located the suspect still hiding. Once inside, the officers were able to take the suspect into custody.

The suspect has been identified as 29 year-old Amado Hernandez, a resident of Simi Valley. He was booked into the Ventura County Jail on charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and two counts of Felony Vandalism for damage caused to the house and a vehicle on the property.

    Would the report please include the immigration status of this man with the machete?
    I am curious if this man should even be in the United States.
