Simi Valley – Member for Tree Advisory Board sought

Applications are currently being accepted  for  the Tree Advisory Board (Board). The Board consists of 11 regular members and 2 alternate members, including ShowImage.aspxrepresentatives from the local Park District, School District, business community, and the public at-large, who serve in an advisory capacity to the City Council on matters pertaining to the planting, pruning, health, and care of trees Citywide. Board members also promote and oversee the City’s annual Arbor Day Program. Board meetings are typically held on the first Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m.

Any person 18 years of age or older who resides within the incorporated limits of the City is eligible to serve on the Board. A selection subcommittee comprised of two City Council Members will interview applicants and recommend successful candidates to be approved by the City Council and formally appointed by the Mayor.
