Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release
On August 18, 2019 at approximately 1:08 AM SVPD Officers responded to a report of a motorcycle crash into a tree at Hummingbird Nest, 2940 Kuehner Dr. An employee of the event being held on the grounds was on his way home when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a tree on the property. The rider sustained significant injuries and was transported to a medical facility. During the preliminary investigation of the traffic collision it does not appear that alcohol or drugs were associated with the cause of the accident.
The Simi Valley Police Department would like to remind the community that it takes different skills to ride a motorcycle. A combination of consistent education, regard for traffic laws, and basic common sense can result in a safe and enjoyable ride.
