Simi Valley: Motorcyclist arrested after pursuit and collision

The motorcyclist drove recklessly around traffic at Los Angeles Ave. at Stearns St. The officers were unable to safely keep up with the motorcyclist as he pulled away so they discontinued their pursuit. The motorcyclist was last seen eastbound on Los Angeles Ave. passing Yosemite Dr.

The officers continued eastbound on Los Angeles Ave. with other traffic until they happened upon the aftermath of the motorcyclist’s inability to negotiate the intersection of Los Angeles Ave. at Kuehner Dr., which resulted in a solo collision. They stopped to render aid to the motorcyclist who sustained a fractured elbow and dislocated clavicle. He was arrested for Reckless Evading (2800 V.C.) and warrants (1 felony – 1 misdemeanor). He was taken by ambulance to Los Robles Regional Medical Center where he was treated and later released from the hospital. He was then booked into Ventura County Jail.
