On December 28, 2015 members of the Simi Valley Police Department’s Narcotics Unit in conjunction with the DEA Los Angeles Field Division, concluded a month long investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in the greater Los Angeles area.

During a surveillance operation, Narcotics Detectives contacted 43 year old Gilberto Lara of San Jacinto, Ca. Lara was found to be in possession of approximately 15 pounds of Methamphetamine.

Lara had his 13 year old son with him while transporting the large quantity of drugs. Lara was arrested for possession of Methamphetamine for sales, transportation for sales, and child endangerment.
