Simi Valley: Parolee Arrested for Possession for Sales and Transportation of Methamphetamine.

On Sunday, March 1st. at about 12:07 P.M. a Simi Valley Police Department Patrol Officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of LosAngeles Avenue and Park Street. The Officer recognized the driver as Richard Gonzales, 38 years, and knew him to be a parolee released from State prison on the Post Release Offender Program.
The Officer conducted a search of the vehicle and discovered a small amount of usable narcotics. A detailed inspection of the center console of the vehicle revealed a false bottom from which a larger amount of narcotics was discovered.
A total of 35 grams of methamphetamine was recovered, along with cash, loaded syringes, and evidence of sales of the illegal substance. Gonzalez, a known gang member from Moorpark was arrested and booked for 11378(a) H&S, Possession of a Controlled Substance for Sales and 11379(a) H&S Transportation of a Controlled Substance.
