Simi Valley PD Narcs Arrest Meth Dealer: Recover Cache of Weapons and Ammo

On February 26, 2014 Narcotics Detectives from the Simi Valley Police Department’s Special Operations Unit completed a two month long investigation into the sales of methamphetamine to Simi Valley residents with the arrest of Dorothy Zamora, 54 yrs old, for drug and weapons charges.

Narcotics Detectives and officers from the Special Enforcement Section served a search warrant at Zamora’s residence in the 16900 Block of Simonds, Granada Hills. During the search, Detectives recovered over 82 grams of methamphetamine and evidence of sales of methamphetamine. Detectives also recovered the following weapons:

AK-47 along with 12 high capacity magazines loaded with ammo
Mini 14 .223 Rifle
Colt 1911 handgun
Ruger 22 pistol
44 revolver
Springfield XD40
38 boxes of 7.62mm rifle ammunition

Zamora, a convicted felon and former Simi Valley resident, was arrested and booked at the Ventura County Main Jail for: drugs.ammo

The Simi Valley Police Department Special Operations Unit will continue to conduct investigations to stem the flow of controlled substances in the city.
