Simi Valley Police Foundation Hosting 3rd Annual Touch–A–Truck Event: December 5th
On Saturday, December 5, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Simi Valley Police Foundation is sponsoring the Third Annual Touch-A-Truck Family Event in the front parking lot of the Police Station located at 3901 Alamo St. in Simi Valley. This unique event gives kid’s young and old a rare opportunity to touch, climb, learn about and explore a variety of large trucks, construction equipment vehicles, police and fire vehicles and meet some of the people who operate them.
Admission is free! In lieu of admission fees the Police Foundation is asking visitors to bring a new unwrapped toy to be donated to the Salvation Army for distribution at the Salvation Army/Simi Valley PD Toy Drive that assists families in Simi Valley.
Giveaways will be offered to those who attend and parents can have their children fingerprinted for free by crime prevention experts as part of a missing children prevention kit.
The 2016 Simi Valley Police Department’s Baker to Vegas running team will be hosting a fund raiser at the Touch-A-Truck event through the sale of baked goods, coffee, hot dogs, chips, and soda. In addition to all the great trucks and displays you can now support our police running team.
If your company has a large truck that you would like to have on display or are a vendor who would like to participate at this event, please contact Roy Conn at (805) 443-6639.
