Simi Valley Police seeking public’s assistance in identifying suspect in attempted kidnapping

arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;”>On 10-24-16, at approximately 3:45 P.M., a 13 year old female got onto a City of Simi Valley Bus near Tapo Street and Township Avenue. At approximately 4 P.M., the bus stopped at Stearns Street and Cochran Street.

The female juvenile and the pictured individual exited the bus. While the female juvenile was walking towards her home, the male suspect grabbed her and tried to force her to come with him. The male suspect let her go when a concerned citizen honked their vehicle horn at the male.

The female fled to her home and told her dad what had happened. The suspect was not located when officers responded to the area. The Simi Valley Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying this male. In addition, the Simi Valley Police Department is wishing to speak with the concerned citizen who honked their vehicle horn at the suspect.

The suspect is described as being a Hispanic male adult, 30-40 years old, 5-05, 160 lbs., with black hair.
