click arial, ailment sans-serif;”>A citizen called to report he was following a vehicle that had been involved in a collision and was leaving the scene at Sycamore Dr. and Los Angeles Avenue. As Units were responding to the area, the RP reported an additional collision involving a parked vehicle. An SVPD Officer located the vehicle at Rincon and Royal Avenue and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The driver, later identified as Andrew Whitaker (43 years) of Simi Valley, failed to yield. A pursuit was initiated and continued on to Harrington and Wilson where a PIT maneuver was conducted. The vehicle spun out, but was not disabled. Whitaker pulled forward striking the push bars of a police vehicle and as he attempted to continue eastbound on Harrington, a second PIT maneuver was conducted . The vehicle again spun out and collided with a chain link fence at the intersection.

Whitaker was taken into custody without further incident. He was evaluated and arrested for 23152 VC, 20002a VC and 2800.1 VC.
