Simi Valley Police Department – Incident Press Release
On May 4, 2019 around 7:30 p.m., a Simi Valley Police Patrol Officer noticed a white panel van with no license plates driving in the area of Madera and Tierra Rejada. When the Officer attempted to conduct an investigative stop, the driver attempted to flee and a short vehicle pursuit ensued.
The van crashed in the parking lot of the Shadow Ridge Apartments and the driver, James Prizzi (49, Oxnard), was taken into custody without incident. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle Prizzi was seen driving was stolen.
Emergency Medical Personnel assessed Prizzi for any injuries suffered as a result of the collision. Prizzi was then booked into Ventura County Jail for driving a stolen vehicle and evading police.
